Generation Engage, Members of Congress,
Launch “Politics through Art Initiative”
On Thursday, September 29, Generation Engage and members of Congress launched the Politics through Art Initiative, an innovative plan to promote political expression through the visual arts. This special exhibition was held at Ralph Lauren’s new Georgetown (Washington, D.C.) storefront, included 300 friends of Generation Engage, members of Congress, national media, and was keynoted by Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE) and Congresswoman Linda Sanchez (D-CA). Hagel and Sanchez, long-time supporters of youth-engagement-efforts and strong proponents of open democratic discourse, voiced their support for the organization’s efforts to engage non-college youth in the political process.
